Flair Bartenders Association
The premier site to learn more about bartending flair and flair competitions is at www.barflair.org. This is the home of FBA. Three of our instructors have been previous representatives for the FBA and all of us that compete are members. A great site to keep up on the world of flair. Membership is only about $45 a year and well worth it.

Tell us one of your most memorable bartending experiences!
Over the 31 years I have worked in the food and beverage industry, I have had a lot of great experiences and made quite a few friends. PBSA would be interested in hearing some of your stories about memorable events, people you've waited on, and friends you've made.
Please remember this blog is open to the public and profanity cannot be posted. Each entry must be reviewed by an editor to comply with our board of education standards! We hope to post all responses unedited.

ServSafe Alcohol Certification by the National Restaurant Association
The National Restaurant Association has created a new responsible alcohol certification program to replace the Barcode program they have offered for years. The new program is called ServSafe Alcohol. It is an extension of the ServSafe Food Certification program that is the premier food handling safety program in the United States.
This program is designed to replace TIPS as the top rated program available to the public. The training materials are first class and very current and reflect real-world situations. The certification is valid for three years.
Most PBSA schools are switching to this alcohol certification program and will be available at your local campus very soon. Call the PBSA school nearest you to see if it is offered yet.
